I really appreciated working with purpleplanet. They struck the right balance between fulfilling our original requests and offering alternatives. Turn-around time was very fast, and purpleplanet's proactive working method greatly helped move the project along. We are very pleased with the result - great visuals, clear and uncluttered categories - and have had nothing but compliments for our new website since re-launch.

FEST, the Frankfurt English Speaking Theatre e.V., is the oldest and largest English-language amateur theatre group in the Frankfurt/Rhein-Main region. Founded by a group of British expats in 1977, they have staged productions of every kind - drama, comedy, mystery, musical, cabaret, and - last but definitely not least - that magical box of Christmas fun, the British pantomime.

The FEST committee approached purpleplanet with the brief to "keep it simple & clean, not too busy; keep it flat" and chosen colours of "dark grey and red, like theatre curtains". What they didn't want, however, was light text on a dark background, so the main content area had to be kept lighter, despite the colour requirements specified.

The resulting website is fresh and modern, whilst still retaining a classical look. It presents the information in an easy to read manner and navigation is kept to a minimum, to reduce the need for clicks.
