Long gone are they days when there were only a few celebrities on our social networks. Now, they are taking full advantage of it and you can find many celebs crawling all over networks such as Twitter, Google+ and Facebook, and some even blogging on the micro-blog site Tumblr. It is certainly becoming big business.
Fans are flocking to these sites to follow stars of music, TV and film causing celebs to have the most followers on Twitter. You do notice however that not many celebs actually follow people back. Maybe that isn’t fair – they do follow a lot of people back, but not in relation to how many are following/friending them. This means you will only see what they say, they won’t see what you say unless you specifically mention them by using the @ but even then it will be difficult for them to pick out your message as their timeline whizzes past. However, fans do not seem to mind, as they are reading that one of their idols had an amazing time at a celeb party or important information about new releases.
